The Fuel Pump is an integral part of any vehicle. It sends fuel from the fuel tank to your vehicles engine, sometimes through a filter, depending on your vehicles model. The pump is submerged in fuel, which cools and lubricates it. When the fuel is low, the fuel pump runs a risk of overheating, causing the fuel pump to wear out faster. Parkway Automotive recommends not letting your fuel levels get too low to extend the life of your vehicles fuel pump. For maintaining a properly functioning fuel pump, your ASE certified technician recommends changing the fuel filter (if equipped) every 30,000 miles.
In some vehicles, changing or servicing the fuel pump requires the fuel tank to be removed. Parkway Automotive is equipped with hightech special service tools and has the proper car lifts to get the job done right!
